- These days I am finding myself thriving to be the best mom I can be, the best social worker I can be, the best friend I can be and the best triathlete I can be. Life is all about balance, somedays its about making chocolate chip cookies with my kids, other days its about watching a movie with Trev and Lexi while I am on the trainer. It feels great to me when I get a really hard core training day in with a great group of training buddies. Then there are days when it just feels right to snuggle up and have some family reading time with the kids. I learn and grow everyday. I love life and am blessed to have 2 beautiful children to be part of my life. I also have a really big extended family that is such an important part of our life. I love training, my favorite things to do are to go on long trail runs- solo or with a group, go on long epic rides- group of course, and I have even grown to enjoy swimming- masters or the short season of lake swimming in MN. I know that I am blessed.

I wanted to comment on the letting go entry..but had too many thoughts to put in words. Keep things or people in your life that bring you energy..discard the "leechs," or energy suckers. Life is hard enough as it is...easier said than done as i can tell you see the positive in anything or anyone..
Hope to see you tuesday. Someone (will protect the guilty team) crashed me out at a crit so i hope to be riding full throttle by tuesday.

Great pics once again! Summer started early in our house thanks to Iowa schools getting out May 17. My kids are already bored saying "what do we do now?" URGH! My son asked me today when school started back up!!!
Hey jmac...I'm out of town this weekend, but I am calling you right when I get back for a bumpy, twisty Leb adventure--lube that chain!
